| Welcome to the homepage of RBI Drums. We are a small, owner operated drum building workshop in southern Colorado. We specialize in high quality hand drums such as Ashikos and Djembes. We also build fine Koras, the 21- string African Harp. For more info on Kora, visit www.kumbengokoras.com The founder, Michael Schraud, comes from a long line of woodworkers and is himself an instrument builder, wood turner and musician with many years of experience. All our instruments are built by us and come with a lifetime warranty. You will be dealing directly with us, the builders, be it with questions, comments, repairs, custom orders or, Heaven forbid, complaints. No middleman, from the shop to you! Our instruments are being played in drum circles, African dance classes, recording studios and on stage. Our drums can be easily tuned using the traditional 'Mali weave'. We use only the finest materials which we carefully select from a wide variety of sources, both domestic and international. The drums are lightweight, easy to play and stay in tune very well. They are easy to travel with and have in fact been to every continent on the planet (including Antarctica). Our customers range from entry level players to seasoned professionals.
